An Intimate Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat Sunset Elopement

This is a modern fairytale about two sweetheart lovers whose childhoods holidays had been spent on the French Riviera. Yet whose starstruck paths had only crossed one end of Summer’s day at an establishment where the couple was staying, renowned for its classic glamour and timeless chic of the French Riviera - the Grand Hôtel du Cap Ferrat.

Countless lavish weddings have been held at this five-star venue but this couple wished to do it with a slight twist. At the very foot of the natural elements surrounding the grand hotel instead.

So it was, years on, at the other end of the very walk where the proposal had taken place, that the bride to be and groom said their vows along the magical path leading up to the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat lighthouse, steps down from the Dauphin Club of the exclusive hotel.

The early September sunset shed its golden hour light on the scene that was to be an intimate, private blessing, accompanied only by the officiant, wedding planner Natalia of My Riviera Weddings and the sought-after Riviera photographer, Sarah Stefani and videographer, Jino Agnelli.

Yet with no detail overturned or spared, a fusion of lifelong happiness came to be, with the elements of nature as their sole witnesses and a setting so elegantly sensual engraved forever in the lovers’ hearts and on film.

From the designer wedding dress created by Flora Bridal, matching diamanté headband, bought at the high-end bridal boutique - Martine Toledano, to the jewellery - a diamond Cartier ring symbolising eternal love with its winding sequence and Tribal Dior pearl earrings symbolising purity. Every inch of the bride’s accessories and gown enlightened her natural beauty.

The bride's flawless complexion was enhanced only with a touch of nude make up and a loose chignon by talented local hair and make up artist Agnès Doussot to complete the blushing bride’s look. The overall result matched the exquisite bridal bouquet’s colours and forms created by the creative “A Nos Racines” florist.

As she descended the rock formed stairs moulded by the sea down to her beloved, who awaited her with sparkling eyes, the bride looked every part of an effortless goddess mirroring that of the Greek goddess of the sea, Amphitrite.

While the song of the sea’s breeze carried their “I do’s” far into the odyssey of what would be their lifelong married life, the newly weds concluded their most beautiful contract watching the gleaming sunset with a glass of their favourite Mirabeau rosé wine, reminiscing of how it all came to be and looking forward beyond the horizon of what would be.
